Rotissima’s sire, Rotspon, the tall and elegant son of Rubinstein, won his stallion performance test in 1998 with an excellent overall score of 145,67 (148,82 in the dressage category). Like his father, the famous Rubinstein I, Rotspon is a very impressive horse with great rideability, outstanding temperament, movements and a high aptitude for dressage. He also shows good jumping technique which is highly above average. His overall score at his stallion test in 1998 was 145,67/ 1st out of 38; dressage score 148,82/1; jumping score 118,74/7.

Her dam SPS Little Lady is by Lauries Crusader xx. Lauries Crusader is one of the most sought after thoroughbred stallions in German warmblood breeding. He has sired 10 sons approved for breeding by the German Hanoverian Verband. Lauries Crusader’s son, Laurentianer, became World Champion of Young Dressage Horses in 2000. Lauries Crusader’s son, Londonderry, became Bundeschampion of four year old riding horses in 1999, and Vice-Bundeschampion of six year old dressage horses in 2001. Lesotho, by Lauries Crusader, is successfully competing in dressage up to the Grand Prix level.

News flash! Rotissima is in foal to Quaterback for a Feb. 2009 foal- our first pregnancy of the season!

Rotissima had a colt by Belissimo M in 2005, and a colt by San Remo in 2006. We bred her to Hilltop Rousseau and she did not get pregnant. We started late, and geve up so we can start early in 2007. In 2007, she was bred unsuccessfully to San Remo, and then was bred late in the season to Quaterback. She got pregnant, but slipped when it was too late in the season for a return breeding. News flash! She is in foal to Quaterback for a February 2009 foal. Rotissima did her inspection in Germany, scoring 7.5. She did her mare performance test in Germany. She received a 7 for the walk and canter, 8 for the trot and rideability and 6 and 7 for the jumping. She went to the very competitive Dobrock mare show where she was placed first in her class, then moved down to third because of nervousness at the walk. She received her State Premium Award, and must now produce a foal to complete the requirements. She participated with her family which won the mare family class. The photo shown of the mare family was on the cover of the German magazine for the Verband, "der Hannoveraner".

Jim and I went to Germany and Holland on our vacation and we finally got to see Shayne and his momma! He is very tall, with a front end to die for. We didn't really get to see him move, unless you count playing and bucking in the pasture..SPS Rotissima looks great, too.

Iris Jonetat, my friend in Germany tells me that after a week long foal watch, Rotissima had a chestnut colt with 4 white socks yesterday. He is very tall, mom is a good mom. They are calling him Benedict, in honor of the new pope who comes from Germany. I think I will breed the mare to San Remo this year, and the best thing is that Udo (Iris’ boyfriend) wants to buy him!
SOLD! Congratulations to Udo in Germany!
