We always have a tour of the barn and the breeding lab before the party and the dinner is served, but this year we did a riding demonstration. We dressed Shakespeare up with red bows in his braided mane, and red bows on his saddle pad and Beth rode him for our guests.

We were so proud of him. He behaved like a pro, and he really seemed to like showing off for a crowd.
He was not afraid at all of the 26 people standing in his ring watching him. Beth had a ball, and our friends got to see and hear first hand about the different gaits and the purpose of our dressage training. Hot spiced apple cider (with a little rum if desired) was served to help keep our guests warm in the indoor ring. What a fun night we had!
