OK, I am rested and the farm is cleaned up and back in shape, so I can fill in details.

Champion Hanoverian Mare at the 2006 RSF inspection was Ghuatamala (Gold Luck-EM Europa/Eisenbarth) bred by Rolling Stone farm and owned by Jacquie Kindred (shown at left with handler Christine Smith)

Judges were Volker Ehlers from the AHS and Jurgen Rump from the Verband.  There were 9 for the mare performance test and one mare just doing the free jumping to become eligible for the JBP (Calculated Risk by Corlando/Almeo owned by Talley Ruhle.  She made it with a 9/8).  Top MPT score of 8.22 was the 11 year old KWPN mare Netian Joy (by Ahorn Z).  She received 9 & 9 for jumping, 8,7,8 for gaits and 8 rideability.  She has been actively showing and had just trailered in  the night before from a dressage show in Lexington, VA.  With an inspection score of 7.52, she is a welcome addition to the HN breeding program.  She is owned by Dr. Sharon Anderson.

A 9 year old Thoroughbred mare named One Fine April xx got a 7.72 on the MPT with a 9 & 8 for the jumping and a 7.16 on a re-inspection.  She has been competing successfully in the amateur owner jumpers for her owner, Kevin Teeple.  They had even shown in Aspen, CO the week before!

Free-N-Foolish, 6 years old, by Freedom Z out of a pre-studbook TB mare also received the upgrade to studbook with a score of 7.11 on inspection and a 7.11 on the MPT.  She has been competing in jumper competition, I believe, and is owned proudly by Christine Lopez.

Ghlycerine by Gold Luck, 4 years old, was ridden by her amateur owner, Kris Schuler, and received a 7.11 to become a new EMC. She is another EMC to be added to the list sired by Gold Luck.

We showed 5 year old Ghranada, by Gold Luck, who had been under saddle only 60 days.  She just missed receiving a 7 (a victim of the new no rounding rule) and just missed a 7 in the MPT with a 6.83. She was worried about what was going on at her farm!

There were two other Gold Luck daughters, full sisters out of an Eisenherz mare, both ridden by their amateur owners- Ghradine, ridden by Carole Holiday, and Ghlimmer, ridden by 19 year old Lauren Casale.  Both were a little green in the free jumping chute, and this affected their scores.  Ghradine received a 7.05 on inspection, Ghlimmer received a 6.72.

Our 3 year old Widmark-EM Ghloria/Gold Luck mare named Whindlass was withdrawn from the MPT.  She had bumped her knee in a free jump practice a week ago, and she was a little sore for the free jumping.  She got a 7.44 on inspection, so if we still have her and Ghranada in the fall (they are both for sale), we may try again at the MAHB.

Performance Breeders presented Blossom, a 7 year old, green broke mare (Bruderherz/Gesandt) in the MPT, and she received a 6.33 on the MPT with a 7.05 on inspection.

In all, there were 9 HN mares for inspection.  The top mare with a score of 7.61 was 5 year old Ghuatamala, by Gold Luck out of EM Europa by Eisenbarth.  She is owned by Jacquie Kindred (and proudly bred by me!)  She received 9 for head and neck, and 8's for type, impulsion and elasticity, and overall impression.  Jacquie has started training her as a combined driving horse.

Winrosa, a 17.2 hand 4 year old by Winterprinz/Imperator, received a 7.19 on inspection.  She is owned by Annetta Kirk of GA.

I also presented Penny Lane, an 8 year old by Pik L/SPS Godehard that I purchased off the internet to use as an embryo transfer recipient.  She received a 6.75 on inspection.

There were 30 foals!!!  Sires were varied- Gold Luck, Don Principe, Stedinger, DeLaurentis, Loerke, Donatelli, Welser, Wolkenstein II, Don Frederico, His Highness, San Brasil, Waltzertraum Moon, Londonderry, and Royal Prince.  Top colt was a very tall, substantial colt by Liberty Gold out of EM Gabriella, by Grundstein, owned and bred by Talley Ruhle.  Reserve was by Sandro Hit out of EM Rhussia by Rotspon, owned and bred by me.  Top filly was also by Liberty Gold out of Devine, by Diwan, owned and bred by Kristi and Malcolm Hoff.  She was a beauty!  Reserve was a filly by Fabuleux out of EM Daconda by Davignon, owned and bred by Talley.  The top colt and top filly each received a trophy halter with an engraved plate donated by Sandy Werkheiser/Unbridled Creative, our AHS Publications Editor.  Thanks, Sandy!  Thanks also to all of my cheerful volunteers, especially Dennis Moore who did announcer duties again this year.  You can just imagine how many people it took to get my 21 foals to the ring quickly!  A client had brought a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and we all got a taste when we were finally able to sit down at the end of an extremely long day.
